Important details about Typing test conducted by HPSSC/HPSSSB

Typing test is conducted for the requirement of given Posts. It is a skill tests which is needed by concerned advertisement. This test is of only qualifying nature. It is conducted on computer in computer Labs.

Required typing speed in English is 30WPM (Word Per Minute) and Required typing speed in Hindi is 25 WPM (Word Per Minute) .

Shorthand Test required speed is 80WPM in English-Dictation and in Hindi-Dictation speed is 70WPM.

Online Typing Software for Typing Practice

Evaluation Scheme for Typing Tests-

i) Time Allotted – 10 minute.

ii) Qualifying Speed – 30 WPM.

iii) Penalty for Error

Errors Admissible = 5% of total typed words.

Errors over and above admissible error are penalised is 10 Strokes or 2 words per error.

iv) Formula to calculate net speed :-

Net Speed = Gross Words-Penalty for Errors = WPM
