Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit –

Date of Birth Block	Candidates born between 26 December 2002 and 26 June 2006 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply
Upper Age Limit for Enrolment (max.)	21 years old as of the date of enrolment, provided the candidate clears all the stages of the selection procedure

Marital Status and Pregnancy

• Only unmarried candidates (male & female) are eligible for enrolment as Agniveervayu.
• Agniveervayu shall not marry during the defined engagement period of four years.
• Only unmarried Agniveervayu is eligible for selection in the regular cadre as Airman.
• Female candidates shall not get pregnant during the engagement period.
• Women Agniveervayu becoming Low Medical Category (LMC) due to pregnancy shall be discharged from service.
• Pregnancy will debar the women Agniveervayu for selection into Regular Cadre.

Educational Qualification

• Science Subjects:
  • Passed 10+2 in Mathematics, Physics, and English from a COBSE member Education Board with a minimum of
  • 50% aggregate and 50% in English.
  • OR Passed a 3-year Engineering Diploma course with 50% aggregate and 50% in English.
  • OR Passed a 2-year Vocational course with Physics and Mathematics from COBSE member State Education Boards/Councils with 50% aggregate and 50% in English in the vocational courses.
• Other than Science Subjects:
  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream/subjects approved by COBSE member Central/State Education Boards with a minimum of 50% aggregate and 50% in English.
  • OR Passed a 2-year vocational course from COBSE member Education Boards with a minimum of 50% aggregate and 50% in English in the vocational course.

Medical Standards

• Required documents include class 10th certificate, 12th mark sheet or engineering diploma mark sheet, and vocational course mark sheets (if applicable).

• Left-hand thumb impression, signature, and parent/guardian signature (if under 18) are also required.
