Himachal Pradesh’s Chief Minister announces multiple development projects

During the National Level Holi Festival, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu extended his best wishes to the people of the State and announced several development projects for the state.

Construction of a Cancer Hospital at Jol Sapad:

The Chief Minister announced the construction of a world-class cancer hospital at Jol Sapad in the Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh in the next three years. The hospital will offer modern facilities to the patients, and robotic surgery will be introduced in the Medical College Hamirpur shortly to facilitate the patients.

Expansion of the Sujanpur Civil Hospital:

On the request of local MLA Rajinder Rana, the Chief Minister announced the expansion of the Sujanpur Civil Hospital bed capacity from 50 to 100 with modern facilities from the next financial year.

New Degree College and Schools:

The Chief Minister announced the opening of a degree college in Tauni Devi of Sujanpur assembly segment in the next financial year with adequate infrastructure and staff. He also announced the opening of eighteen Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding Schools in the State for which land had already been identified.

Jal Shakti Vibhag and Electricity Board division in Sujanpur:

Sh. Sukhu announced the opening of a division of Jal Shakti Vibhag and Electricity Board in Sujanpur with proper funding arrangements.

Mukhyamantri Sukh-Aashray Yojana for Orphan Children:

The State Government has started the Mukhyamantri Sukh-Aashray Yojana for orphan children. Under this scheme, the Government will adopt orphan children as “Children of the State” and would provide full funding for their higher education, pocket money, etc.

Conclusion:

The Chief Minister announced these projects to achieve the targets set for the development of the State. He said that the State Government would take tough decisions to strengthen the economy of the State, and more strides will be made in the next ten years to take the state to new heights.
