Note —
Gazetted holidays for the calendar year 2023 in Himachal Pradesh are listed in Annexure-I.
Government employees can avail two restricted holidays from those mentioned in Annexure-III.
Annexure-II declares additional gazetted holidays for women employees in government offices, boards, corporations, and educational institutions in H.P.
(i) Deputy Commissioners can declare two local holidays in their jurisdiction for important fairs and festivals. (ii) State Government will declare local holidays for offices within Shimla Municipal limits and those in Delhi after receiving proposals.
Annexure-IV lists additional gazetted holidays within the meaning of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
