The Art Teacher Recruitment Examination:
The commission issued a notification on May 24, 2022, to fill 314 posts of art teachers under postcode 980. After the screening test, 971 candidates were selected for document verification from December 16 to 22. However, the final result has not been declared yet. The Vigilance department has found sufficient evidence of a paper leak in this exam.
The Special Investigation Team:
The Special Investigation Team had received complaints of irregularities in the recruitment of more than two dozen different postcodes. During the investigation, the SIT found that the examination paper for the recruitment of art teachers in the Elementary Education Department was also leaked. The SIT has found sufficient evidence of this.
FIRs and Accused:
So far, a total of two FIRs have been registered in Vigilance Police Station Hamirpur in the paper leak case of JOA IT and Computer Teacher and Junior Auditor recruitment. A total of eight people, including Uma Azad, who was a senior assistant of the confidential branch of the Bhang Commission, have been booked in this case. Four of these got bail from the Hamirpur court last month. However, after the judicial custody of Uma Azad, Nitin Azad, Nikhil Azad, and Sanjeev Kumar ended on Wednesday, they were produced again in court. The court again sent all four to judicial custody till March 14.
Vigilance has come across strong evidence regarding the paper leak of the Drawing Master recruitment exam. A third FIR will be registered soon in the case. The four accused have been sent to judicial custody till March 14. Uma’s elder son Nitin had applied for bail in the High Court, but the court postponed the hearing considering the seriousness of the matter. All the eight accused will be produced in the court on April 13, which will also include those accused who have got bail.
