Before attending your counseling session, please carefully read the following instructions. You need to bring the printout of your online admission form, original copies of the required documents, and photocopies of these documents. Check the list of necessary documents on pages 9 and 10 of the Information Brochure for Admission to B.Ed. (ODL) mode, for the academic year 2022-23 starting in February 2023.
If you are a Shastri/Vishisht Shastri/Acharya/Jyotishacharya or language teacher/Prabhakar without OT training and LT training, you are eligible for admission to the B.Ed. course subject to NCTE norms. You must produce a special certificate issued by the Director of Elementary Education, H.P. Government. Please see Annexure-1 for more details.
You must also bring original detail marks cards of your qualifying examinations, including first, second, and final year, as well as any post-graduation degree. If you completed your UG or PG from a university other than H.P. University, you must bring the UGC or -DEB recognition letter. See the sample of the UGC/UGC-DEB letter for H.P. University in Annexure-2.
If you cannot attend your counseling, you may authorize someone else to attend in your place. This person must bring an authorization letter with your photo attached, their ID proof, and the necessary fees as per the Authority letter format. See Annexure-3 for more details.
If you completed your D.ELEd. through NIOS, you must be in service and bring your latest employment certificate signed by the head of your institution. You must also bring your appointment letter, photocopy of your joining report, school affiliation letter, and experience certificate. See Annexure-4 for more details.
After confirmation of your admission at the counseling session, you must pay the required fee (Rs.14800/-) for the first year through ATM debit card/credit card/net banking. Cash payment is not allowed.
Admissions to the B.Ed. the course will follow the reservation roster of Himachal Pradesh University, and only H.P. domicile candidates will receive reservations. Teachers with NTT qualifications are not eligible for admission to the B.Ed. the course as per NCTE norms.

The counseling will take place on April 11, 2023, on the Ground Floor of the ICDEOL Building at H.P. University, Shimla. All applicants from various categories and streams who have scored at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination (UG/PG) for the general category and 45% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PH are eligible for counseling.
