The Department of Biotechnology, HP University Shimla is inviting applications from interested candidates for “WALK-IN-INTERVIEW” for the positions of Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) for a period of two years (Co-terminus with the project) in the Department of Biotechnology and Department of Chemistry. The project is titled “Design and Development of Pine Needle Biochar infused Microbial Consortia based Hybrid Bio-Tubes for Effective Treatment of polluted water” and is funded by NMHS-PMU, G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment (GBPNIHE), Koshi-Katramal, Almora Uttarakhand, India (MoEF&CC) Govt. of India, New Delhi.
Qualifications:
The minimum qualification for the JRF positions will be as per the norms of MoEF&CC New Delhi. The JRF must have passed his/her Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) with at least 55% (50% for SC/ST) marks in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Chemistry and must have qualified for any national level exam conducted by UGC/CSIR/MHRD/ICMR/ICAR/DRDO etc.
Emoluments:
The JRFs will be paid an emolument of Rs.31,000+9% HRA /- p.m. (Rs. Thirty-One thousand only+9% HRA).
Selection Process:
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
