Kangra Valley –
Kangra Valley is known as Veer Bhumi. It extends from Shahpur to Palampur. The major cities of this valley are – Dharamshala. Nurpur, Palampur, Kangra, Baijnath. The Dhauladhar mountain range is similar to the crown on the Kangra valley. The Bid place of the valley is famous for hang-gliding.
Sangla Valley (Baspa) –
Sangla Valley is situated between 1830 meters to 3475 meters elevation above sea level. The highest village of Sangla Valley is Chitkul. ‘Kamru’ and ‘Sangla’ are the main villages of this valley. Sangla Valley is also known as Baspa Valley. Baspa is a tributary of the Sutlej. The Tidong Valley lies north of the Baspa River.
Balh Valley –
This valley is located in the plains of Mandi district. It is the most fertile valley in Himachal Pradesh. The average elevation of this valley is 800 meters. The Indo-German Joint Agricultural Project in 1962 has led to amazing economic development of this valley. It is also called the Sundernagar Valley.
Chamba Valley –
Chamba Valley is known as Ravi Valley. The Ravi River flows in the middle of the Chamba Valley. Mainly the people of the Gaddi tribe live in this valley. Chamba, Bharmour, Dalhousie, Khajjiar etc. are the major cities of Chamba Valley.
Kullu Valley –
Kullu Valley is also known as ‘Devghati’. Cedar and apple trees are found in this valley. Manali, Naggar, Banjar, Ani situated in this valley. The Rupi valley in Kullu is famous for silver mines.
Paonta Valley –
This valley is known as Kiarda – Dun Valley. Yamuna river separates Paonta valley from Dehradun valley. Giri and Bata are the major rivers of this valley. Paonta Sahib, Majra, Dhaula Kuan are the towns falling under this valley.
Lahaul – Spiti –
This valley is located in the highest region of Himachal Pradesh. The height of this valley is from 3000 meters to 6500 meters above sea level. Alpine trees are found in this valley. Potato is mainly cultivated here. Chandra and Bhaga are the major rivers of this valley. The Bhaga Valley of Lahaul is also called Rangoli Valley.
Pabbar Valley –
This valley is also known as Rohru Valley. Pabbar is the major river of this valley, whose origin is the Chanshal peak.
Satluj Valley –
This valley extends from Shipki in Kinnaur to Bilaspur district. The major cities of this valley are Rampur, Bilaspur.
Sarsa Valley –
Located in Solan district, this valley is also known as Industrial Valley. The major cities of this valley are Dagshai, Kasauli, Sanawar, Haripur, Ramshaher. Parwanoo, Baddi, Barotiwala and Nalagarh are its main industrial cities.
Chauntra Valley –
This valley is located in Joginder Nagar of Mandi district.
Jaswan-Dun Valley –
This valley is Situated in Una district, this valley is also known as Swan Valley.
Ashwani Valley –
Keonathali on the left side of this valley and Baghati dialect on the right is spoken. The major cities of this valley are Shimla, Chail. Kandaghat, Solan and Dharampur.
Sun Valley –
It is located in Solan district.
Dami Valley –
The Dami Valley is situated between the hills of Dhar Bahadurpur and Dhar Bandla in Bilaspur district.
Kunihar Valley –
Located in Solan district, this valley starts from ‘Kuni Khad’ and extends to ‘Takurdiya’.
Gambhar Valley –

Gara Valley –
Gara Valley is also known as Chandra Valley. It is located in Lahaul.
Chauhar Valley –
